The LSDC's sanitary system is a key utility consisting of approximately 35 miles of sewer pipes, two siphons, and 9 pump stations. This system collects and moves over a quarter million gallons of wastewater to the MWRA Waste Water Treatment Facility every day where it's properly cleaned and treated before being recycled back into the environment.

There are many things that you as a customer can do to ensure that the system stays operating as intended which prevents backups and keeps rates low.  These informational pages are here to help.
